Palo Santo is the wood of the Bursera graveolens tree, which grows in Peru, Ecuador, and other South American countries. In Spanish, palo santo means “holy wood.”
Palo Santo has been used by indigenous people since centuries. The wood, the resin and the oil is used to treat pain and stress and to clear negative energies.
The wood is burned as incense. As it burns, it releases aromatic smoke which is used for energetically purifiing of spaces, the body and the aura.
